Strengthen your drawing skills in a guided class that focuses on the fundamentals of line, shape, form, value, and shading. You'll build your visual vocabulary as you hone in on drawing techniques that broaden your ability to create convincing illusions and effects. We'll work using pencils and charcoal, but other media may also be introduced. Beginners and advanced students will benefit from detailed back-to-basics exercises, and all students will be encouraged to pursue their own style. Please have drawing paper, a selection of pencils, an eraser, a pencil sharpener and masking tape on hand. We suggest that you tape your drawing paper to a board and orient it so that the camera on your computer is pointed at it.
