Mindfulness   

A little mindfulness goes a long way. Decades of scientific research show its positive effects on mental health and overall wellbeing for children and adults alike. Mindfulness, an awareness that allows us to meet ourselves and the world around us with intention, kindness, and compassion, doesn't just help us survive; it helps us thrive. In this course, we will connect with ourselves, cultivating and inviting resilience and empathy into our worlds. Over our time together, we will deepen our awareness, sharing mindfulness as a possibility for a stronger foundation, healthier self, kinder connections and deeper relationships. Together, we will explore our habitual reactions to the stress in our lives, and discuss the ways mindfulness offers us tools to meet those moments with choice, and encourages us to explore gratitude and openness. No class the week of April 15 during school vacation.
