Chinese "Jiaozi??" Dumplings
Dumplings are one of the most popular food items in China. This class will focus on "Jiaozi??" dumplings, which are especially popular during Chinese New Year. Dumplings can be boiled, steamed or pan-seared. This course will teach students to make Chinese dumplings from scratch: mixing the dough, preparing the filling, rolling the wrapper, and then folding and cooking the dumplings. Students will have a chance to taste tender and juicy boiled dumplings, as well as pan-seared dumplings with beautiful laces. We'll prepare two types of fillings: traditional pork and napa cabbage filling, and vegetarian filling. A $20 food fee is included in the course fee.
