    Outdoor planters filled with colorful flowers and foliage are a wonderful way to celebrate the season, whether you have a small patio or a large front entrance.  In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the basics of container planting, including design, color, plant choices, potting, and maintenance.  The materials fee of $25 (payable to the instructor) includes plants, potting soil, and containers.  Leave the class with a beautiful summer planter to liven up your outdoors!

    While technology has eliminated the standard 'tune-up' of days past, we still must be aware of some signs of trouble and act to prevent minor problems from becoming major, expensive repairs. Join an experienced mechanic and instructor who can make all things automotive both fun and comprehensible. We'll cover basic maintenance and troubleshooting of the ignition, charging, cooling, fluids, electrical, brakes, and exhaust systems and also discuss common problems encountered with any vehicle. You will leave this class better able to diagnose problems, perform basic maintenance, and deal competently and knowledgeably with local mechanics. Please note: This is a lecture and demonstration class; no tools involved.

Students will learn how to form, file, solder, texturize, and shape both freeform and geometric designs.     Fencing is considered to be a lifelong sport and it's never too late to start! In this course, our experienced coach will teach you the fundamentals of foil fencing such as footwork, hand-eye coordination, and blade work in a supportive and encouraging environment. The sport offers a full-body workout and intellectual challenge, improving physical and mental agility. Nick Stockdale is a 3-time national finalist and World Cup competitor with 10 years of professional coaching experience. He coached 6 athletes to All-American recognition while at Ohio State and the Air Force Academy. As head coach at the Naval Academy, he led his team to a national collegiate club championship title. He has been certified by both the U.S. Fencing Coaches Association and the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

This lighthearted, interactive class is for anyone who wants to take a break from the stresses of life and spend their nights laughing. Spark your creativity with the art of thinking on your feet in this fun-filled, experiential class. Improv lets you practice being truly "in the moment” while helping with courage, confidence, and being open to change. Improv also can be helpful to overcome stage fright. Techniques learned are applicable to both performance and to all areas of everyday life. No previous experience necessary. Open to students 16 to 110.
