Theatre Arts Junior: Bringing Books to Life (Grades K-1)

From beloved classic stories to more recent tales, children’s literature is a magical, colorful world of fun adventures, discovery, fast friendships, silly jokes, and cool facts. This summer we will start each day together listening to an exciting book, and then we’ll bring it to life through arts and crafts, drama, science experiments, joke telling, and journaling. We’ll enjoy leisurely midday active games and recess fun, and take field trips to the water park. Afternoons will be devoted to offering young entertainers a chance to explore the world of theater, by bringing storybooks to the stage. Students will improve written and spoken language skills, learn about memorization and interpretation, and learn about working as a team.
