Join us for a summer-themed Welding Workshop!

Whether you are considering a career in welding, have an interest in welding as a hobby, or just want to try it out, this workshop offers participants the opportunity to explore their interest and aptitude in welding for 6 hours in the lab!

• You will have the option to select two of the following Welding processes: SMAW (Stick Welding), GTAW (TIG welding), GMAW (MIG welding) or FCAW (Dual Shield). 
• Also select one cutting process: OFC (torch cutting) or PAC (plasma cutting).

Basic welding materials are included.  Loaner welding gear available. 

Once you enroll in this course, you will receive instructions on how to contact the instructor to arrange meeting times and welding types. Flexible days and times are available and are worked out on an individual basis.

• You will be able to use four of the most commonly used welding processes: SMAW (Stick Welding), GTAW (TIG welding), GMAW (MIG welding) and FCAW (Dual Shield). 
• Participants will also have an opportunity to use the two most commonly used cutting processes: OFC (torch cutting) and PAC (plasma cutting).

If you already have welding experience, this is your opportunity to access welding equipment for 6 hours in the lab to develop skills, practice for a qualification test, or work on a small personal project.

Participants may use SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding equipment. OFC and PAC cutting equipment is available. Other metal fabrication tools are available. Materials and consumables may require additional fees. 

If you do not already have welding experience, consider one of our workshops instead.
