CCD is excited to offer the mandatory LLP Advanced Ethics course online and the optional Advanced Family Law course online. These preparation courses are tailored to individuals who already meet the educational prerequisites for becoming an LLP but seek to complete the mandatory class or enhance their subject matter expertise.

    Welcome to the LLP Advanced Ethics online course!

    We are thrilled to have you as participants in this learning journey. This course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the ethical considerations and challenges that paralegals face in the legal profession in preparation for the Licensed Legal Paraprofessional (LLP) Exam.

    This course satisfies the required ethics requirement to be eligible to take the LLP exam in November. Upon successful completion of the course, we will notify the Office of LLP Admissions that you have satisfied that requirement. We will also provide you a certificate that you can use as documentation of completion.

    As paralegals, you play a crucial role in upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism within the legal field. In this course, we will delve into complex ethical scenarios, dilemmas, and regulations that are pertinent to your role in pursuing the designation of LLP. By the end of this course, you will have gained a deeper insight into ethical decision-making, the code of professional conduct that you will be required to follow, and practical strategies for maintaining ethical integrity in your work.

    Refund Policy

    Full refunds for course enrollments are only available up to 60 days after payment has occurred, or the start date of the course, whichever comes first. Once a course has officially begun, no refunds will be provided, regardless of whether the student has accessed course materials. Refunds must be requested by emailing whitney.wise@ccd.edu before the official start date of the course or within 60 days after payment. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment used for the enrollment. If a course is canceled or significantly changed, refunds will be provided automatically to enrolled students.

    Welcome to the Advanced Family Law online course!

    We are thrilled to have you as participants in this learning journey. This course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of Family Law in Colorado, in preparation for your Licensed Legal Paraprofessional (LLP) Exam.

    As working and experienced paralegals, you already play a crucial role in helping families navigate the legal process in some of the most challenging times in their lives. In this course, we will study family law statutes, case law, court rules, chief justice directives, and scenarios that are pertinent to your role in pursuing the designation of LLP. By the end of this course, you will have gained a deeper insight into substantive family law, court procedure, protection orders, evidence, how to advocate and provide effective counsel to your clients.
