Tired of the same old Moodle discussions? Feel like your students are not engaged? YellowDig is a community-building tool that can be used for class discussions that encourage active participation. With YellowDig, instructors can set up class discussions that reward students with points based on their interactions each week. Instructors can give students accolades for great posts--such as new ideas, great follow-ups, and more--adding additional points to students' overall weekly grades. Students and instructors can add topics and hashtags to make it easier to search and view ideas. Instructors can track community data to see information about students who are interacting and leading discussions and students who are at risk. YellowDig is now integrated into our Moodle system.
