3D Needle Felting NEW!
Needle felting is a popular fiber craft in which wool fleece is sculpted using special barbed needles to stab it into shape. Using a few simple techniques, you can create many different shapes that can become jewelry, ornaments, toys, wool pets, sculptures, and even dolls. You can also appliqué the fleece onto your favorite bag, hat, scarf, and other items. In this class you will learn step by step to create your very own small sculpture. This course has a materials fee.

Card Making the Old-Fashioned Way with a Modern Twist NEW!
Gail Clifford is part of a crafty family; her mother and sisters enjoy scrapbooking and making cards and dragged her into it. Now, nearly all their cards are homemade and specialized for the recipient. In this course, Gail will share with you the techniques of making a LOT of beautiful, unique greeting cards out of just a few pages of cardstock using stamps and cricut. Join her for this fun course and create greeting cards that will make your family and friends ooh and aah! This course has a materials fee.

Session #1

Coloring the Flowers of the Tropics NEW!
Let’s resume our joyful exploration of new and learned techniques using colored pencils. We will color floral designs of tropical flowers such as orchids, birds of paradise, and hibiscus. Our coloring projects are on a "no need to know how to draw" basis. You will be e-mailed the templates (PDF) of the drawings and the step-by-step simple coloring guidelines which you will bring to class. You will also receive via e-mail a list of the materials which can be purchased through Amazon, Blick, Target, or any art supply store. (Repeat colorists should have them already at hand). Join us to create beautiful flower artwork that you can proudly frame and display. Our extended two-hour class time gives everyone time to relax and color at a leisurely pace. Door Decor and More Part 1: Fall and Halloween NEW!
Learn to create exquisite garlands, swags, centerpieces and/or wreaths to celebrate Fall and Halloween. Sally will guide you in designing your own unique creations and provide expert directions in how to make elegant bows, attach flowers, picks, and ornaments, and add unexpected details. She will provide you with a list of materials available at Walmart, Dollar Tree, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby that will make your one-of-a-kind decorations look spectacular! After each class, you will be able to take home a completed project.

Making a Carousel Picture Book NEW!
A Carousel Book is a picture book with the front and back covers designed to join together so that the book opens to a 360º circle. Students will select a subject and design a book by adding photos, drawings and cutouts to a 3-dimensional, pop-up- page book. Students will purchase supplies for the books from the instructor.

Open Studio
Have you ever taken any art classes? Did you purchase art materials that are now put on a shelf somewhere in your house and you never seem to have the time to use them? Then the Open Studio might just be the perfect course for you! This open studio is for anyone wishing for a block of time to work on creative projects! Whatever your medium – graphite, colored pencils, watercolor, felting, etc. – you are welcome to complete your “masterpieces” in this open studio. Meryl will provide individual assistance. Enjoy listening to soft music while you work and get to know other creative members of your Lifelong community. Bring your own materials. Class size is limited.
