IMPORTANT REMINDERS: 1) The drop-off and pick-up location for College for Kids 2025 will be at the Catherine Dower Performing and Fine Arts Center which is #24 on the campus map linked HERE. Additional parking information will be available on the Drop off and Pick Up page. 2) After registering and paying online, please remember to complete the required online form found HERE. This form must be completed and submitted at least two weeks prior to your child's first class. 3) We encourage sending your child with a healthy snack and drink for each class. If your child is staying for lunch, they must bring a lunch with them. Due to allergies, we only ask that you refrain from snacks that contain nuts. If a class requires your child to wear certain clothes or bring certain items, it will be indicated in the class description. 4) All course pricing is inclusive of tuition and fees associated with the course. 5) Parents will be notified approximately 2 weeks in advance if a course may be cancelled due to low enrollment. In the event of a cancellation, we will do our best to place your child in another class or we will provide a full refund.
Ages 5 - 9
Become a junior scientist and join this science camp to learn all about the natural things found on Earth! This class offers a little bit of everything to introduce curious kids to the world of hands-on science. This class is offered for a younger age group in the mornings and older age group in the afternoons with different activities planned for both. Fun for all -indoors and out- with this hands-on science exploration camp!
Students will have fun making different recipes every day including ice cream cone cakes, pizza, tacos, cookies, and much, much more. We will discuss measurement, kitchen safety, sanitation, and learn how to follow recipes. Students will bring home a cookbook comprised of the recipes made during the week.
Ages 6 - 9
In this class, students will make and design their own one-of-a-kind art journal. An art journal is a record of self-expression using words and visual imagery. It is a place to doodle, paint, collage, experiment, write, or draw. Each art journal is as unique as the person who designs it. Did you know that many famous artists like Picasso and Vincent van Gogh kept art journals? Students will have fun expressing themselves and learning many design techniques as they create their own distinctive art journal.
Ages 8 - 12
Magic All Around will take your magic to the next level! You will learn new amazing magic effects to amaze your family and friends, along with tips and tricks from professional magicians to make your magic not just baffling, but also truly entertaining! At the end of the week, we will host a magic show to showcase all that you learned for your families! This course will offer different material from the Magic Everywhere course in Week 1 so both returning and brand new students are welcome.
The week will begin with Cake Decorating 101 - how to fill and hold a pastry bag to create borders, flowers, and also how to fill and frost a two-layer cake using a spatula and turntable. Students will learn all about cake and frosting ingredients and how they work together to create endless dessert variations. Students will then apply their learning to design and create their own cake based on their personal interests. Over the past years we have seen a variety of animals, sports, space creatures, and even the famous Harry Potter! Each student will receive their own decorating kit, everything they need to work with throughout the week and bring home to continue creating. Kitchen safety and cleanup will be part of class every day. Hopefully, they bring those skills home as well as a new passion for baking!
Ages 10 - 14
This course is geared for students who already have some background in the fundamentals of cartooning and wish to further their knowledge. Students will explore the various types of papers used in cartooning such as hot press, Bristol, and duoshade as well as various pen nibs and inking techniques. Students will complete a cartoon project from concept to final inking.
Working with clay is fun, rewarding and a great way to develop your creativity. In this class, we will learn lots of clay sculpting techniques as we create pinch pots, coil pots, jewelry, and sculptures. We will even try our hand at sculpting animals and people. By using air dry clay and paints participants will be able to take and/ or wear all their creations home by the last class.

Have you ever wanted to be in a band, but just don’t have anyone to play with? You’re in the right place! The College for Kids Band is a fun place for you to explore singing and playing musical instruments to grow your musical knowledge and skills. As a result of this class, you will learn how to sing songs with confidence, as well as how to accompany the songs with instruments, including drums, glockenspiels, Boomwhackers, recorders, and ukuleles—and even with instruments you can make at home! Best of all, at the end of the week we will host a concert to showcase all the music you learned!
In this class, students will really give their brains a workout each day by being presented with and solving a variety of puzzles and riddles and learning the science behind optical illusions. On top of that, students will also learn a variety of close-up performance magic using cards, rope, coins, mind reading, and prediction!
