The Youth Chamber Orchestra of Vancouver nurtures the development of personal responsibility, community, and mutual interdependence through music performance leading to the highest standards of musicianship, personal preparation, empathy and human development, as we grapple with the content and context of musical works. Everyone has the right to make music, and everyone needs music in their lives. The week-long program focuses on individual artistic growth and ensemble collaborative enhancement, by rehearsing and performing orchestral repertoire under the leadership of Dr. Rafael Rodriguez, (Director of Orchestral Activities, Clark College).
