Plant Walk: Spring Lily Celebration

Description: We will wander ~2.5 miles along the lake, on a seek and find mission for Lily Family plants, learn how to ID plants in this family, and to connect with nature and ourselves. Will climb into the lily fields above the lake, where you can learn a bit about camas lilies, as well as their partnership with other plants in the meadows. And then we'll have time to sit quietly and reflect on the spring season so far (that could be journaling, art, quiet circle time, etc. Now is a great time to pause and enjoy the lovely energy that spring is sharing - and revel in it before we arrive in summer. Specific meeting site will be emailed to registered students the week of the walk. Accessibility: Participants should be able to walk ~5 miles total, and handle some steeper trail sections. Sit down/kneel to look at and commune with plants - all for about 2 1/2 hours. We'll amble about 2.5 miles along the edge of the lake. There are small hills and two pretty steep spots (one is wide & gravel, the other is narrow & dirt with poison oak along the side). Once we get to the lily fields, we'll stand for a bit while we chat and then find a spot to sit for our reflection + connection time.
