Implicit Bias can influence decisions at every stage in the hiring process. During this workshop you will learn what implicit bias is, and how to identify it as it comes up in hiring. In breaking down each stage of the hiring process in this class, you will learn strategies for infusing equity into the process, including best practices for serving on a screening committee, tools for developing job announcements, strategies for inclusive recruitment, and more. This workshop has a focus on institutionalized hiring and retention practices that challenge systems of power, privilege and inequity.
