Description:
This two-day course is designed for Health Care Providers (HCP) who are new to Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and the care of other Cardiovascular Emergencies. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Initial is for any HCP who wishes to go beyond the basics in life support skills and learn high-performance team dynamics. ACLS training is intended for healthcare professionals who either direct or particpate in the managment of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies.
This course builds on the foundation of basic life support (BLS) skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. The course highlights high-performance team dynamics and communication; systems of care; and recognition of and intervention in cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythimia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
The goal of this course is to improve outcomes for adult patients of cardiac arrest and other cardiopulmonary emergencies through early recognition and interventions by high-performance teams.
