The Clinical Medical Assistant program prepares students for a rewarding career in healthcare by providing training in both clinical and administrative skills used in medical office settings. Students learn phlebotomy, diagnostic testing, vital signs, cardiology basics, EKG lead placement, pharmacology, and professional workplace practices. The program includes 140 hours of classroom instruction and lab training, with a clinical externship available upon successful completion.
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the National Healthcare Association (NHA) Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification exam.
To qualify for the clinical externship, students must successfully complete the program, pass a background check, drug screen, and meet additional healthcare provider requirements.
