MIXED MEDIA SCULPTURE: POLYMER CLAY AND FELTING FUSION

Join sculptor and League member, Rachel as she shares how she combines hard and soft materials to create nature inspired work. You will first learn how to construct hollow forms using polymer clay. Demonstrations will include how to alter these forms, add other elements, and embellish with surface details. Once they are fired you will use her unique process of needle felting wool directly into and around these clay forms to make a sculpture. Rachel will also demonstrate wet felting techniques that can be incorporated as well. No experience is necessary.
