Understanding Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)  

Understanding Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a 10-week class where learners can gain a broad prospect of TCM. During the class the Framework about TCM, cultural background that is essential for the development of TCM and TCM education in China will be introduced. TCM foundations like Yin-Yang & Five Elements philosophy, Qi, Blood, Fluids, Essence theory, TCM etiology, and such, will be given together with a brief introduction on the four traditional diagnostic skills: inspection, auscultation and olfaction, inquiry, pulse-taking and palpation. General herbology and Channel knowledge will also be covered in the class. Western medicine and TCM comparison discussion are encouraged during the class. The class will be given in English.
