4.1 Chinese Calligraphy I

Chinese Calligraphy I is a 10-week course designed for members from CSU and the local communities with or without Chinese language background. This class focuses on the regular style calligraphic strokes and character writing, with a side note on the history behind Chinese characters and their structural composition. Through class meetings and lots of after-class practice, students should be able to write strokes and selected characters in a calligraphic style. This class may be offered in face-to-face and/or online format. A Confucius Institute certificate will be given to those who successfully complete the course. A discount code is available for (1) those taking multiple CI courses at the same time, (2) community members 60 years old or above. Email Dr. Li at h.li84@csuohio.edu.
