Are you overwhelmed? Do you notice recurring physical discomfort in your body? This experiential class will give you the opportunity to slow down and come back to yourself. We’ll gently explore our own habitual physical and mental responses by way of simple, everyday movements (i.e. sitting, standing, walking, lying down). Learn the foundations for improving posture and balance while reducing stress and tension. With an attitude of curiosity, we will delve into: An introduction to the principles of the Alexander Technique. Experiment with tools for improved physical coordination, relaxation & stress reduction.

Participants are asked to honor an 800-word/5- minute reading time limit in order to accommodate all class members. Each author will receive gentle, constructive, and supportive feedback related to the writing following their reading time. Discovering one’s personal writing style, voice, and effectiveness are part of the fun we enjoy in this class. All writing levels are welcome.
