Ballet dancers are known for grace and beauty, but their athleticism often goes unnoticed. This class explores the strength, flexibility, endurance, and discipline required of ballet dancers at every level. Through videos and discussion, we'll begin by examining how young dancers train and cross-train to develop ballet techniques, then progress to watching professional dancers in rehearsal and performance to see the remarkable athletic demands behind classical ballet. Join former professional dancers Joy and Jeffrey Engel for this fascinating class.
