Description: RPM uses digital technologies to collect medical and other forms of health data from individuals in one location and electronically transmit that information securely to caregivers or health care providers in a different location for assessment and recommendations. Remote patient management is, by intent, about moving healthcare out of the traditional physical setting of health delivery, into the house, and to where people live, work and play every day. Beginning with the smartphone, we will examine a variety of RPM interventions, and consider future applications.
