Films have become the literature of our times and the study of the oevre of Hollywood directors is now as common on university campuses as the examination of the literary giants of the 18th and 19th centuries. Perhaps the most intriguing of these famed directors was British transplant Alfred Hitchcock. Known as "The Master of Suspense," he started out as a commercial artist and short story writer and began working in silent films. Drawn to the dark side of life, he earned a reputation for his ability to create suspenseful drama, directing some of the most frightening classic films ever made like Psycho and The Birds. Our three sessions will examine the life and output of this most unique master entertainer.

Think fast! Join us for an introduction to the world of improvisational comedy. This class will cover the fundamentals of improv through various games and exercises. Our instructors will give you the tools you need to create scenes and characters in a safe and encouraging environment. Whose line is it anyway?!? It's YOURS!!!

This interactive class provides an introduction to the principles of pointed pen calligraphy. Using pencils and paper, we will explore the concept of pressure while learning how to tie calligraphy into a regular mindfulness practice. Students in this class will receive material to print out at home. No experience or good handwriting is necessary!

Practice French in a fun and friendly environment, while stimulating your mind and engaging in interactive activities. All levels are welcome. While strolling thru the alphabet we’ll explore the culture, histoire, and géographie of France.
