Writing Flash Fiction with Improv

understanding color

In this lively 2-day workshop, you’ll explore an exciting new short form of writing that lends itself to fearless storytelling: flash fiction, and we'll approach it using basic improv exercises and improv-inspired techniques, like word association games and story-building games, then we’ll apply those techniques in writing sessions. We’ll also learn how to make characters come alive on the page via character embodiment. Students will leave this class with at least 6 new pieces of writing.
