RCW 64.90, WASHINGTON UNIFORM COMMON INTEREST OWNERSHIP ACT (WUCIOA)
This act references four distinct common interest communities.  The paragraph numbers refer to sub-paragraphs under RCW 64.90.10 and distinctly define each of the different common interest communities.  (11) Condominium, (15) Cooperative, (33) Miscellaneous, and (37) Plat or HOA.  Every common interest community is governed by a board, defined by RCW 64.90.010 (6).  While there are obvious differences in the types of such communities listed in the RCW, the governance of these communities has very little difference.  Consequently, if you live in any of these described communities or are contemplating a move into one of them, this course will address the governance and management needs of each of them as well as the role of ownership.  Specific emphasis will be given to managing finances with a complete and detailed presentation on managing capital reserves.
