  • Robotics: Space Explorers, ages 5-7 (14181)

    Young astronauts will become space engineers, designing and building a variety of robotic creations. Beyond rovers, campers will construct robotic arms to simulate space station repairs, program drones to navigate simulated asteroid fields, and even design and build simple satellites to understand orbital mechanics. Through these engaging activities, they'll learn about space exploration, delve into the world of coding, and explore the fascinating principles of robotics and engineering. It's more than just robots! Our camps foster critical thinking, communication, and creativity – essential skills for future success.

    This exciting camp blends the worlds of robotics and artificial intelligence, where young innovators will build amazing robots and learn to control them using the power of facial expressions. Through hands-on projects, campers will explore the fundamentals of robotics, delve into the fascinating world of AI, and develop their creativity and problem-solving skills. They'll build robots, experiment with AI-powered games, and learn how to use facial recognition technology to control their creations. Robo-Face is the perfect camp for curious minds eager to discover the future of technology! More than just robots! Our camps foster critical thinking, communication, and creativity – essential skills for future success.

    A learn-to-play camp that will take time to teach your teens the rules and concepts of the RPG game D&D, as they get to play an intro adventure!

    Monday - We will cover D&D rules and character creation, and students will do an overview of the game.  Then, there will be a classic Zero Session; characters and back up characters will be created, and group norms and expectations will be discussed for game play. The campaign for the week will be introduced.
    Tuesday - D&D game play
    Wednesday - D&D game play
    Thursday -  We will engage in side quests to explorer characters, there will be a lesson in how to DM, a lesson in game creation, and discussion of other RPG’s as well.
    Friday - D&D game play vs. Final Boss
    Game supplies (ie Dice, character sheets, and pencils) will be provided.

    Parents/Adult guardians are welcome to come in on Friday, or another day of choice to observe/participate.

    This camp is designed for ages 12-18.

    Greatly increase your imagination, creativity, and skills by learning all about cartooning comic book characters! You’ll be amazed by how quickly your cartooning abilities will develop, by following along with fun, informative, step by step demos! After putting your skills to work, you’ll be able to bring home several fun works of art that you've created in class!


    Drawing Video Game and Fantasy Characters (1:30pm-4pm)
    Video Game and Fantasy Characters are fascinating subjects to draw! Learn the anatomy and proportions of fantasy creatures, and how to depict them in action! Drawing 3 dimensionally, and using light, shadow, and detail to depict a variety of creatures! Characters such as: Dragons, Dinosaurs, Robots, Trolls, Shape- Shifters, Cyborgs, Mutants, Insectoids, Animal- and Multi- Creature Hybrids, and all the amazing things they do: Running, flying, battling foes, rescuing heroes, breathing fire, and more!

    These camps are designed for ages 10-16.

    Learn to paint the fascinating world of animals in this engaging and informative camp! Through the development of keen observational skills of the natural world, you’ll learn to realistically represent animal life! Possible subjects include: mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, insects, crustaceans, mollusks, and more! You’ll also learn about form and function, anatomy, highlights, shadows, and details, proportion, three-dimensionality, value, contrast, and color. 
    These basic principles of painting will help you learn to depict the animal world in a variety of vibrant and dynamic ways, and you will have the chance to produce exciting, realistic works of animal art!

    Be inspired and learn to paint breathtaking landscapes in this fun camp! Over the week, you’ll practice and gain knowledge to realistically represent nature! These basic principles of painting will help you learn to create scenery in a variety of powerful ways, and you will have the chance to produce beautiful, realistic works of art!
