Stars, Galaxies and Cosmos   

Introduction to the current state of research into the structure, origin, and evolution of the universe. Topics include stellar evolution, galactic structure and formation, cosmic distances, black holes, quasars, and cosmological theories. Laboratory projects emphasize photographic and spectrographic analysis of stars and galaxies.

Prerequisite: placement in to ENGL& 101 and MATH 099 or (equivalent).
