Students will learn the basic principles inherent in the process of “making” photographs with the camera.
Course activities will include viewing images by other photographers important to the history of the medium, followed by weekly assignments. Student’s work will be critiqued by class peers in each subsequent class session.
Students are encouraged to take successive classes to develop special or documentary projects. This will encourage continuing development and give students additional class critiques on their new work.
Materials Needed: Digital or film cameras are acceptable as long as students can provide images in digital format for review.
