Kentucky, bourbon, and a slice of history–join us on an unforgettable long weekend to explore the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and Louisville with Dr. Zac Cole, assistant professor and program director of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Flagler College!
Discover the birthplace of bourbon and taste the flavors, learn the craftsmanship, and experience legendary hospitality as we tour four (4) incredible bourbon distilleries from Louisville to Bardstown, Kentucky: Limestone Branch and its Yellowstone Bourbon; Maker's Mark distillery, warehouse, cellar, cistern and bottling; Heaven Hill's "bottled-in-bond" warehouse; and Angel's Envy, the art and science behind the single barrel.
All tours include bourbon tastings. A stop at the Kentucky cooperage to see the life of a barrel from individual oak staves to new charred barrels, a lovely group dinner at "Proof on Main" restaurant with drinks, and a tour of the historic Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory complete this historic weekend. Plus, there's time to explore on your own as you take in all that Louisville has to offer. There’s plenty to do within walking distance of the hotel!
