    Local Needs Course:  This course is required by companies such as Conoco Phillips, Shevron Phillips, and Degussa Engineered Carbons by contractors before they can enter the plant and work. (OSHT 1015 in use for another course)

    Course Description:  An orientation course that informs new contractor employees of general safety rules, regulations, practices, and principles associated with construction and maintenance services in the industrial area. It also provides recertification for employees every three years. This couse is approved by ARSC and taught at ARSC locations only  

    Learning Outcomes:  Understand general safety rules and regulations observed in an industrial plant. Recognize safety symbols, signs, and color codes used in industrial plants. Evaluate potential hazards and implement safe procedures Select and wear proper personal protective equipment Perform work in a safe manner by observing plant safety rules and regulations
