This class will help you build professional and academic English skills. You will practice real professional tasks through: 

• Introducing yourself and your work history 

• Writing a work email to a coworker or supervisor 

• Practicing interview skills 

• Writing a professional profile about yourself or classmate 

This course focuses on speaking, listening, writing, and reading. Your work and life experience are part of the course content, not just background information.

     • Writing a two-paragraph profile about a classmate

This course focuses on the four necessary skills for language learning: speaking, listening, writing, and reading. Your own life, family, and community are the content of this course.

NOTE: No class on Monday, September 7th for Labor Day holiday.

This course is for students at the intermediate level who want to grow their ability to solve common life problems through real-life situations. 

 You will practice communication through: 

• Learning how to communicate in situations like getting in a car accident, store returns, landlord issues and credit card fraud 

• Communicating formal complaints via spoken scenarios and role plays 

• Writing emails to communicate necessary information based on the situation. 

 
This course focuses on speaking, listening, writing, and reading. By understanding how to navigate daily situations, students will be better prepared outside of the classroom.
