Flagger Training  

Students will learn about safety equipment and clothing, preparedness, responsibilities, and the traffic control company regulations. Successful completion earns certification.
FLAGGER CLASS POLICIES AND PROCEDURES Cancelation Policy: Pre-registration is required for all Flagger Certification courses. On the Thursday prior to the class start date, all students will be contacted to remind them of the class.
If minimum enrollment is not met by the Thursday prior to the class start date, the class will be canceled. Students will be notified by the phone numbers listed on this registration form and emailed (if email address is provided). It is the student’s responsibility to ensure the community education office has a current working phone number. If class is cancelled, students will have the option to be moved into the next flagger certification class at no additional cost or to receive a full refund.
Refund Policy: Students who notify the community education office (360-538-4070)Wednesday at 4 pm, prior to the class start date, can request a full refund. Students who fail to show up for class WILL NOT receive a refund.
ALL REFUNDS TAKE 5-10 BUSINESS DAYS TO BE PROCESSED. On class day: Flagger classes are held on the main Aberdeen campus (1620 Edward P. Smith Drive) in room 2255 (the 2nd floor of the 2000 building).
Students need to arrive to class no later than 7:45 am.
DON’T BE LATE! You will not be allowed to enter the class after it begins. Class will be over no later than 4:30 pm. You will not be allowed to bring others (people and animals) to class with you. You will be allowed a short lunch break. There is no food service on campus on Saturday so it is suggested to bring a lunch.
Please bring the following items with you: • Current picture ID (cannot be expired). • If recertifying, your current flaggers card (card must not be expired to recertify). • Be prepared to have your picture taken for your new card. • Students who are disruptive to the class will be asked to leave and will not receive a refund for the class.
