Join OLLI at UNH members from around the state in Portsmouth at the The Gundalow Company for a late afternoon sail aboard a traditional reproduction of the flat-bottom gundalow barges that were once prevalent along local waterways. We'll sail past forts, lighthouses, the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and prison and learn about the cultural and natural history of the region, while enjoying each other's company! We encourage you to make a day of it - dine at one of Portsmouth's many wonderful restaurants for lunch or dinner within walking distance from where you will park, or perhaps visit another local attraction? Come "dressed for success" for the event by watching the weather - pack your sunscreen, a hat, and/or a sweater. Bring a camera or binoculars. Wear comfortable shoes.
