Click for Course Description: In this class you will learn carving techniques, use of hand tools, and start on your way to making fantastic works of art out of wood. All levels and 13+ are welcome.
Students will:
- Learn new terminology pertaining to woodcarving
- be able to properly use hand tools to remove wood and texture the wood surface
- know the many different styles of woodcarving created from all over the world
- know what tools to acquire to carve a project, how to sharpen, and safe and proper care of tools.
- know how to properly paint, wax, finish, and display the carving.
