Green River College Continuing Education and Rockwell Institute have partnered together to offer a pre-licensing package that you can take entirely online. This package combines Washington Fundamentals, Real Estate Practices, and the Broker's Cram. This package fulfills the 90 clock hours of education required in order to take the state licensing exam. Our self-paced courses are affordable, convenient, fast and fun. The online courses include animation, sound, full color photos, sharp graphics and an interactive teaching/learning style.
Real Estate Licensing
This package includes:
- Washington Real Estate Fundamentals: a 60-hour course that must be successfully completed before you can take the state examination. Fundamentals is a comprehensive course that is directed at someone with little or no experience in real estate. About 90% of our students pass the license exam on their first attempt.
- Washington Real Estate Practices: This course offers guidelines in areas such as: listing agreements and purchase and sale agreements; pricing property; qualifying the purchaser; agency relationships; financing; and other information pertinent to the new real estate agent. This course is 30 clock hours.
- Washington Broker Cram: this course narrows your search for relevant topics prior to your state exam. Using a highly usable format on the computer, it allows you to learn at your own pace. You are shown what is likely to be tested on the license examination, plus you get the opportunity to answer hundreds of practice exam questions as well as take several practice exams.
Each course completion certificate, which is necessary in order to take the state exam, is valid for 2 years.
Registration, Payment and Refund Info
The date range listed in the Green River Continuing Education course registration (after the word “Date:”) is an open-enrollment period. This means you may register for and begin that course at any time during the quarter. Your online account will activate within a week* of your paid-in-full registration.
*If you wish to activate your online account sooner, after you register please send an email to CE@greenriver.edu requesting activation.
You will have six months from your activation date to complete the course.
Refunds for classes are given only within the first 14 days of account activation and only if the student has not begun any of the online courses.
Equipment
Students must have Internet access from a computer for training. Students can log on from any location at any time of day and pick up where they left off.
Non-Credit Courses
Real Estate courses are non-credit and do not count toward credit-bearing degrees or certificates at Green River College.
Not a Licensing Agency/Disclaimer
Students do not earn a broker’s license by completing the classes. This package fulfills one of the requirements for taking the state exam. Neither Green River College nor Rockwell Institute administer the state exam. Green River Continuing Education Department recommends that students research and understand the criteria for state licensing before enrolling in the course.
