Business Analyst Certificate

Opportunities for Business Analysts are on the rise. Every organization has different issues that a business analyst can address. Obtaining the tools, techniques, and skills can help address these issues as well as move your career in a fresh direction. The The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) predicts a significant, higher-than-average, growth rate of 14 percent from 2020 to 2030.  The BLS also reports the median annual wage for management analysts was $87,660 in May 2020.

Certificate Overview

Designed to be completed in as little as one quarter, the Business Analyst Certificate consists of four required modules totaling 48 hours of course work:

  • Needs Assesment - 12 hours
  • Managing Stakeholder Engagement - 9 hours
  • Elicitation and Analysis -18 hours
  • Traceability and Solution Evaluation - 9 hours

Certificate Objectives 

  • Define the essential steps and tools to define and align business needs.
  • Summarize critical stakeholder analysis methods and techniques to ensure engagement, commitment, and support of the project and product development.
  • Learn how to effectively elicit and analyze requirements to support the strategic needs of the organization. 
  • Define how to trace, prioritize, and monitor requirements to guarantee projects remain on track to successful completion.
  • Summarize key steps to ensure all solutions are evaluated and accepted for release.

Program Completion

To earn the Business Analyst Certificate, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Take all four required modules
  • Attend 80% of each module (based on the number of sessions in each module)
  • Participate in the course
