This course is based upon Hans Rosling's New York Times bestseller ""Factfulness: Ten Reasons We're Wrong About the World--and Why Things Are Better than You Think"". We live in an age of gloom and doom, but our perceptions have been distorted by the media mentality, ""If it bleeds, it leads."" If you want to look at the misconceptions commonly held by most of the world, much of what you believe is either outdated or just plain wrong. This class will challenge many of your beliefs about the state of the world and make you more aware of reality based upon facts rather than distorted perceptions.
