Fly Fishing Winter Steelhead
Catching a Winter Steelhead on a fly is one of the NW ultimate angling challenges and a bucket list accomplishment for many. In this classroom session we will discuss tackle, equipment, and strategies for success. We will cover both the traditional Swung Fly method, and the Nymphing method, plus where and when to apply each technique. Class will include a resource guide with information about local and regional rivers and there run timing and prospects. After the classroom session there will be an optional outing to a local river for hands on instruction and fishing. The classroom session is a prerequisite for the outing.
