    This 4-hour in-person workshop provides a practical, real-world overview of cybersecurity and the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). The training covers foundational cybersecurity hygiene, NIST 800-171 and CMMC concepts, and industry best practices.

    Participants will engage in hands-on activities to learn how to apply NIST 800-171 requirements within their organization. With expert instruction and case studies, attendees will gain the skills needed to improve cybersecurity hygiene and meet the advanced security and compliance requirements for CMMC Level 1 & 2 certifications.

    At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

    • Explain the benefits of proper data hygiene
    • Identify Controlled Technical Information (CTI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
    • Recognize the next steps to meet the standards
    • Answer common questions about how CMMC/NIST 800-171 applies

What Matters: In 2025, 88% of businesses will experience at least two cyber breaches, costing 5 figures. It's not enough to assume you can remain unnoticed. Private equity investors cite cybersecurity among the top 5 criteria when planning to invest in or buy a business. Moving forward in this decade, business leaders need to understand how to mitigate cyber-risks. This event will provide insights for business and technology leaders to assess their organization's cybersecurity planning.

 

Event Description: This panel and the audience will discuss cybersecurity risks and what business leaders can do to mitigate these risks starting the day after. Attendees will have the opportunity to talk to the panelists and a network of cyber-experts in the audience about mitigating cybersecurity exposure. The panel includes 25-year cyber technicians, business risk managers, an FBI cyber policing agent, and experts in continual training for technicians and employees (based on NIST framework recommendations

    This training will equip executive leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand, manage, and lead their organizations through cyber threats.
