Explore the parts of a rocket, the fuel it requires, and the flight path it must take. Check out some of NASA’s newest rockets, then bring your own designs to life with a 3D printer. Walk away with your sights set on the solar system!

Join other astronaut-wannabes and explore what it's like to train for space travel! Learn how astronauts prepare to leave Earth's orbit. Try astronaut food and discover how time in space impacts human bones. Work with your team to create a lunar landing site and design and test an effective space suit for walking on Mars. Leave class knowing what it takes to become an astronaut.

Go behind the scenes of a space mission and learn what it takes to send an astronaut to the moon! Put your skills to the test as you launch on a simulated adventure to explore Europa: one of Jupiter’s many mysterious moons. Take on roles in mission control and the space simulator to investigate a comet passing through the solar system. Complete your mission with a taste of space exploration!

Before camp childcare will provide supervised activities for Kids@Heartland students from 7:30 - 9:00 am. Students will also be escorted to their am class.

Enjoy lunch, games, and activities with other Kids@Heartland campers between your morning and afternoon sessions. Our staff will escort you to lunch and to your afternoon class so you can relax knowing you’re exactly where you need to be. Bring a sack lunch each day.
