You'll need to complete an hour of safety training reading before the first night of class. Information will be emailed on the Wednesday before class.
Learn how to repair and connect metal around your farm, yard, or business - either for practical application or for artistic use. Learn the essentials of safety, rod identification, electrical theory, oxyacetylene cutting, and plasma cutting. Use various shop machinery in a controlled environment to build confidence in your skills.
We will cover mandatory shop safety information during the first two nights of class. Attendance and participation for both nights are required.
Most expendable materials are provided (metals, gas, welding tips, etc.) You'll need your own personal protective equipment. Please see the SUPPLIES LIST here. You will also need to provide either scrap or new materials to produce a final project for the class.
Ages 18+ only, please.

- Steelhead Fly Tying
-
 Explore the art of Steelhead fly tying, with a focus on summer run patterns for the Clearwater, Deschutes, Grand Ronde, Salmon, and Snake rivers. You’ll learn to tie classic flies inspired by Glasso, Johnson, Kaufmann, Jackson, and Lemire while building core skills in proportions, hook selection, body styles, and material choices. By the end of the class, you’ll complete at least 10 flies using a variety of natural and synthetic materials.
