This course will address applying the principles of lifestyle medicine to age well. It will consist of six classes, each focusing on a different pillar of lifestyle medicine and how each helps with healthy aging. Since nutrition and diet are crucial to healthy aging, recipes and food samples will be provided at each class. In addition, we will discuss how aging is affected by exercise, proper sleep hygiene, dealing with stress, fostering good social connections, avoiding risky substances, and the power of nature.

You can help bridge the communication and cultural gap between hearing and Deaf Americans. Learn beginning signs, basic grammar, and common phrases of American Sign Language. You will study the manual alphabet, fingerspelling, numbers, greetings and introductions, and more. Gain a new perspective of the Deaf community through a focus on Deaf culture. You will begin to develop a working knowledge that can be used in many situations.
Your instructor is deaf and reads lips, but class will mostly be conducted by immersion.
