Recovery Coaches support positive change by helping
individuals re-entering society from treatment or the criminal justice system. Our goal is to assist in the avoidance of relapse, the building of community support for recovery and cultivating life goals such as relationships, work and education. Focusing on building the client's strengths, coaches do not address past traumas, but rather provide expertise on future achievement.
Similar to life and business coaching, Recovery Coaching (also known as peer mentoring), provides assistance to clients in accessing clinical services. Recovery Coaching is non-clinical and does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of addiction or any mental health issues as is the case for licensed addiction counselors.
Textbook is included in the tuition.
