Electronic Health Records Specialist Certification Program   

Electronic Health Records Specialists serve an important role in the healthcare industry with responsibilities such as organizing and maintaining data for clinical databases, reviewing patient records and recording data electronically. This course will equip students with the skills to manage patient visits, monitor vital health information and maintain effective communication with patients. Also integrated within the curriculum is 3 hours writing skills training. Course topics include Basic Health Information Management, Insurance and Billing, Charting and Regulatory Compliance and Reporting. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be equipped to take the National Healthcareer Association’s (NHA) Certified Electronic Health Records Specialists (CEHRS) exam, a nationally recognized credential.CEHRS is one of the two preferred professional technician certifications desired by prospective employers, according to the Department of Labor. NHA exam fee and study guide are included in the tuition.
