This course prepares students to pass the MetroTech computer-based-exam for the FDNY F-60 Fire Guard for Construction Site and Torch Operations Certificate of Fitness.
Certificate of Fitness candidates will learn not only how to pass the FDNY exam but will also learn the proper way to stand fire guard duty.
All topics in the FDNY study guide are presented and explained, including certificate of fitness procedures, fire guard variations, fire guard requirements and duties during hot work operations at construction sites, fire protection systems and fire extinguishers. Students will learn about fire guard patrols, inspection records and logs, complex hot works evolutions and fire department notification procedures.
