The New York State Education Department designed this training to educate teachers, administrators, supervisors, physicians, nurses and or any professional who assist in the treatment and educational process of those diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
This workshop will address the value of using cross disciplinary service delivery systems to support ASD students in the general education environment and how to communicate effectively with families and provide then with support. In addition, students will learn what a quality autism program should look like and what resources are available in the community for children and adults with ASD.
