English Links is an intensive 200-hour English as a Second Language program for learners who already have a basic knowledge of English. The program is designed to prepare students for academic and professional success. An integrated skills approach is utilized with listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar components. Students learn how to communicate their ideas effectively, interact using academic discourse and apply their language skills to different situations and audiences for greater understanding and engagement. Students will conduct informational interviews, participate in class discussions and presentations, as well as attend content based field trips where English language skills learned in class will be utilized and applied to real life situations. A mandatory screening test is required prior to registration.
