The course introduces the fundamental concepts of the profession, principles of patient care, pharmacy law, pharmacology, human anatomy, medical terminology and pathophysiology.
Students will learn about the top medications dispensed in the United States and be introduced to the basic concepts of pharmacy calculations for proper medication dispensing. Learn the skills to work in pharmacies, including those found in grocery and drug stores and in hospitals, and become an important part of a rewarding profession.Students are also prepared for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination (PTCE), a nationally recognized certification administered by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
Textbook and exam fee not included in tuition.
