The Community Health Worker (CHW) Apprenticeship at Hostos Community College is a training program that includes classroom instruction and on-the-job training (OJT) for CHWs. Participants will explore topics in public and community health to support their growth as professionals and as apprentices within their current employment. Instruction will focus on understanding of the specific needs of communities, individuals, and families from a social determinants perspective on health.
