Hostos Division of Continuing Education & Workforce Development offers the Medical Billing and Coding Program that includes 7 courses.
This series of courses teaches the skills required for employment in the health care business, including nursing homes, physician’s offices, community health groups, insurance companies and billing companies. The Healthcare Industry has an increased need for Medical Billers and Coders.
Students are admitted into the program in the Fall and Spring semesters only. NHA exam fee and study guide are included in the tuition.
Requirements:
- Copy of High School Diploma or GED certification
- Maintain a 70% or “C’ grade average in each course or repeat the course at student’s expense
- Maintain a 90% attendance rating (no more than one absence per course)
