The Child Abuse 15-minute addendum will help mandated reporters fulfill the second updated child abuse training requirement outlined in Section 413 of the Social Services Law. Per the New York State Education Department, if you have completed the Mandated Reporter Training between November 1, 2022 and August 31, 2025, you are eligible to complete a short 15-minute addendum, which includes the additional topic that is now required by the amended Section 413 of the Social Services Law.
Please note that if you already took the Updated Child Abuse workshop last year to meet the April 15th deadline, you must take the 15-minute addendum with that same provider.
